The Kihei Canoe Club has elected Lea Giddens, president; Polly Lorge, vice president; Donna Abdill, treasurer and Stephen “Tree” Luksic, secretary. Colleen Kirkley and Cody Vares are new members of the 2008 Board of Directors. Returning board members include Jackie Brainard, Bob Brooks, Kaleo Evangelista, Denise Guerin and Casey Logsdon.

Board members were assigned to head various committees that do much of the club’s important work, according to President Giddens.

The new committee chairs are Lorge, membership; Logsdon, grounds and hale; Brooks, boats and equipment; Evangelista, education; Colleen Kirkley, fundraising; Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association representative Denise Guerin; and Brainard, communications.
