The monthly Save Makena meeting will be held on Monday, April 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Garden Room of Kalama Heights Retirement Center, 101 Kanani Road in Kihei. The speaker this month is Lee Altenberg, Ph.D., who will present a slideshow of native plants in the Wailea-Makena area. The meeting will also include announcements on upcoming events and ongoing issues. T-shirts and bumper stickers will be available. Light refreshments will be served.

The Kalama Heights Retirement Center Garden Room is on the ocean side of the complex, in the southwest corner. The parking entrance is the driveway about 100 yards down the hill from the main entrance.
