Representatives of HR BioPetroleum, MECO and HC&S will discuss the proposed 1,000-acre algae farm for Ma‘alaea on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 9 a.m., at the Ma‘alaea Community Association’s (MCA) regularly scheduled meeting at the Waterfront Restaurant in Ma‘alaea.
MCA members and residents of Ma‘alaea are specifically encouraged to attend and ask any questions they might have about this new technology, how it would operate and what potential impacts, if any, it might have on nearby residents.
While the meeting is open to the general public, anyone wishing to attend should be aware that seating is limited and additional opportunities for the general public to review the project will be available.
For more information, contact MCA President Lynn Britton at 244-5688.
