The Kihei Community Association (KCA) will hold a community lu‘au at the Kihei Youth Center at Kenolio Park in North Kihei, on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The event will promote the continuation of the “Year of the Reef” with the announcement of the donation of additional informative reef etiquette signs along the Kihei shoreline.
“Come celebrate our community while protecting our future,” said KCA President Jon Miller, “as we help preserve our reef system for generations to come.”
Tickets for the event are $25 for adults and $5 for keiki ages 5 to 10. The price of admission includes food and beverage, live music, a chance to win valuable prizes, a keiki art contest and membership in the KCA. KCA will also collect canned foods for the Maui Food Bank at the event.
Anyone joining the KCA in October will receive a ticket for the event, which is available at www.gokihei.org or by calling 879-5390.
The KCA meets the third Tuesday of every month at the Kihei Community Center.
