Benefit Concert

Hawai‘i entertainers to raise funds for Maui cancer patient.

A benefit concert for Jarren Nomura Patao and the Ronald McDonald House of Hawai‘i will be held on Sunday, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Baldwin High School Auditorium. Entertainers will include Jake Shimabukuro, Gail Swanson, George Kahumoku and Master of Ceremonies Kathy “Da Tita” Collins.

Patao is a 16-year-old Baldwin High School student who has been diagnosed with bone cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Kapi‘olani Children’s Hospital while living at the Ronald McDonald House in Manoa. He is the son of Olympic weightlifter and Maui Firefighter Vernon Patao and Leslene Nomura Lopez.

Tickets are $20 for students; $40 for adults. Contact John Henry Photography at 242-1918 for tickets.
