The Rotary Clubs of Maui and Upcountry Maui will sponsor a “Rotary Gives Thanks” Food Drive near the entrance doors of Foodland in Pukalani on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22 and 23.
Club members will collect non-perishables and cash donations for the Maui Food Bank from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The goal of the Maui Food Bank is to provide hunger relief for anyone who might be in need. Food and funds collected will provide food for working poor families, seniors on fixed incomes and single parents who rely on the Maui Food Bank just to make it from month to month.
This “Rotary Gives Thanks” Food Drive is one of the many community service projects sponsored by the nine Rotary Clubs on Maui. The clubs are a part of Rotary International’s global network of more than 32,000 clubs in 207 countries. Rotary International consists of 1.2 million professional men and women who, as civic leaders, volunteer to improve the quality of life in their home and world communities.
