BNI Upcountry will hold its first Visitors' Day at Hali'imaile General Store on Tuesday, Oct., at 8 a.m.
BNI (Business Network International) is a worldwide business and professional networking organization with several chapters on Maui. Its primary purpose is to exchange qualified business referral.
The largest networking organization of its kind, BNI was founded in 1985 by Ivan R. Misner, Ph.D.
"Our style of networking is based on the philosophy of "Givers Gain,"--if I help you, then you'll help me, and we'll all do better business," said Misner.
"What makes BNI unique is that it allows only one person per profession to join a chapter and is for networking--not net-sitting or net-talking!" said Secretary Sarah Davis.
The Upcountry Chapter, which Pukalani, Makawao, Kula, Ha'iku and Pa'ia is currently seeking several business professions to whom members can refer business.
Anyone interested in attending the meeting is welcome to exchange business cards.
To attend, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (808) 419-0094.
There is no charge to attend. Breakfast will be served.
