The board of directors of Maui Arts & Cultural Center (The MACC) has announced the appointment of Candace Croteau to the position of executive vice-president. Croteau has been with The MACC for 16 years, most recently holding the title of vice president of operations. Her responsibilities have now expanded to include increased supervision and guidance of the organization, as well as increased oversight of the physical facility.
Croteau joined The MACC in 1997, serving as director of events before becoming vice president in 2010. In that capacity, she oversaw venue rentals, facilities and operations.
"The MACC is really a miracle borne of our founder, Pundy Yokouchi, and a gift for the people of Maui," said Croteau. "It is an honor to be any part of that formidable legacy, and one not taken lightly. I'm looking forward to the challenges of this next step, to help keep the vision strong and vibrant for future generations to enjoy."
