Sparkling dew on fresh Upcountry pine, the scent of beeswax candle dipping and the sound of joyful holiday merry making can only mean one thing--it's the Haleakala Waldorf School Holiday Faire, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The school has hosted this lovely event for the last 28 years, and it has truly become one of Maui's most festive holiday craft and fun fairs.
Spend the day Upcountry at the school's 100-year-old historic campus located in rural Kula, and enjoy the spirit of the season with exciting live entertainment, hula and wandering minstrels throughout the day.

Shopping for the holidays is a snap with over 75 artisans offering unique, handcrafted items. The Bakery and Country Store will offer delicious homemade treats prepared with fresh local products.
Make something at the faire for a creative holiday gift. The Holiday Faire is famous for its traditional hands-on craft activities, including beeswax candle dipping, ornament decoration and garden gnome making.
Select a beautiful, fresh holiday wreath made from fresh greens collected on Haleakala.
There are tons of fun games and activities for the keiki, including an obstacle course and beautiful puppet theatre to delight the children while you check out the great silent auction items.
At 10 a.m., the Elf Parade will wind through the whole fair. Each child wearing an elf or Santa's helper costume will receive a free gift!
Don't miss the Holiday Faire, a day of amazing holiday shopping, music, merriment and fun for the whole family!
Admission is $3 for adults; children under 12 will be admitted at no charge.
